ENDANGERED KIND
WHO WE ARE
Three-Pronged Approach
Endangered Kind is a culturally competent 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization in Philadelphia that is helping local communities shift the narrative and impact of gun violence by strategically engaging, intervening, and building credible relationships with high-risk youth and young adults.
Endangered Kind specializes in effectively targeting high-risk youth and young adults from the ages of 15-27 acting as a trusted liaison.
Our programs offer peer support services, safety intervention, and resource placement to underserved groups that are fighting against premature death by homicide.

SERVICES

PEER SUPPORT SERVICES
Peer Support is provided with the goal to achieve and maintain a safe and healthy environment for individuals that are lacking a strong support system within urban communities.
SAFETY INTERVENTION
Safety Intervention is about keeping open and active communication with residents and community leaders about the lack of safety in communities that trigger "fight or flight" responses.

RESOURCE PLACEMENT
Resource Placement supports and strengthens the viability of the community by providing underserved groups with sustainable opportunities such as employment, business start-up services, or gaining access to our exclusive network.
